IALA HISTORY AT A GLANCE

摘要

To mark the 60th anniversary of IALA, the Secretariat has taken a lucky dip into available archive materials in an effort to compose a snapshot of the origins and subsequent evolution of a focused, international concern with the improvement and harmonization of marine aids to navigation (AtoN). The early efforts of lighthouse authorities to discuss matters of common concern and share technical knowledge and expertise set the scene for the creation of IALA as we know it today - the peak technical organization in its field, driven by a collaborative spirit and committed to closely involving also providers of AtoN products for the enhancement of world maritime safety.
