The paper entitled indentation hardness test to estimate the sawability of carbonate rocks" by Kahraman and Gunaydin is valuable as the test has already been used for investigating the cuttability and drillability of rock. However, there are some uncertainties in the paper regarding the computation and evaluation of the indentation hardness test results. The purpose of the present discussion is to clarify these.
