There has been investment in state-of-the-art handling technology worldwide, amid an upsurge in global demand for fertiliser. In India, the bulk port of Krishnapa-tnam has installed the first automated fertiliser handling system (AFHS) in the country, cutting to hours handling time from vessel to rail or road.
