In bulk handling applications, power feed systems face particular challenges for equipment suppliers. Container handling equipment has to meet higher and higher travel speeds, in order to match the demand for greater loading and unloading productivity at the quayside. But bulk handling machines like stacker/reclaimers and shiploaders have different requirements, notably long travel distances and high power requirements.
