The answer to India's problems with draft limitations and its lack of loading/discharging facilities may lie with the different floating solutions currently being developed and implemented, such as floating cranes, floating transfer stations and large storage and transhipment units.rnFloating crane unitrnSeveral companies in this sector, including Coeclerici, Logmarin and ETA Star, have a shipping background. One successful development has been the floating crane unit, which Logmarin has masterminded. It has been operating the floating crane Princesse Abby in Indonesia for PT Berau Coal since November, with leading crane supplier Liebherr providing the heavy duty crane.
