Posco's Indian steel project in doubt

Posco's proposed US$12B steel plant in India is in doubt after a government panel recommended scrapping environmental clearances given to the South Korean steel producer. The panel suggested that approvals should be cancelled because of flaws in the studies, and shortcomings in the clearances granted to the project in the eastern Orissa state, Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh said.
