Cameroon looks to strategic future

A South Korean consortium has been awarded a contract by the government of Cameroon to produce a master plan for the redevelopment of the country's rail network. The Korea Rail Network Authority, Korea Port Engineering Corporation, Chung Suk Engineering Company and the Korea Transport Institute signed an agreement with Cameroon's ministry of the economy, planning, and regional development (MINEPAT) to undertake the 13 month study with a view to upgrading and expanding the country's colonial era rail network.
