Novorossiysk Commercial Seaport (NMTP), the largest stevedoring company in Russia's Black Sea, is planning to upgrade its existing facilities and undertake a newbuild project in order to increase its total handling volume from last year's 157 mtpa to 170 mtpa this year and 224-237 mtpa by 2020.rnLast year, NMTP changed its principal stockholders and its controlling stake is now jointly owned by Summa and Transneft. In addition, the NMTP group extended beyond its Novorossiysk-based core (which, apart from NMTP itself, also includes the Novorossiysk Grain Terminal, NLE timber terminal and some other assets) to include the Baltic port of Primorsk and the Baltic Stevedoring Company.
