ABP inks biomass contract

Associated British Ports (ABP) has appointed Graham Construction to undertake the design and construction of the new Immingham Renewable Fuels Terminal (IRFT). ABP's will invest £100M in the new 11.5-acre automated terminal at the UK port of Immingham. It will be capable of handling 3 Mtpa of wood pellets, mainly to support the planned transformation of three of Drax's six coal-fired generating units at the Selby power station to biomass-firing.
