The port of Gijon's dry bulk terminal, European Bulk Handling Installation SA (Ebhisa), is to be put up for sale in the autumn, according to Jose Llorca, president of Puertos del Estado. Gijon Port Authority (APG) has already sent an outline document to the national ports authority covering the sale and this is undergoing analysis. The sell-off of Ebhisa, in which the port authorityholds a 68.8% stake, was decided in March 2012 by the central government as part of its rationalisation of public sector held companies. An initial financial assessment of the state-held shares has subsequently had to be revised following the integration of logistics operator Oligsa into Ebhisa.
