Rocha imminent

Construction of Uruguay's Rocha deepwater port and renovation of the country's railway network are priority projects for 2014, according to the president's office. The design of Rocha port is due to be agreed by the end of the year, and the first quays could come into service by 2016. Brazil has pledged at least US$500M forthe project, which is seen as a regional initiative, which would also serve Bolivia and Paraguay.
