First completed in 1969, the Romano L Mazzoli Federal Building (FB), is a block long, 11-story building with a gross area of 473,071 square feet. The building houses numerous Federal agencies, with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as its largest tenant. In 1992, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) received Congressional approval and funding to proceed with the design and construction of its modernization. Total Congressional funding was approximately $15.5 million, although the GSA funded more than $3.1 million for additional work.
