IFMA Premieres New FM Credential

IFMA is now offering a new Sus-tainability Facility Professional credential for people with a foundation of FM knowledge. Instructor-led courses will become available in summer 2011, and the self-study version of the program was released in March. Course areas include Strategy and Alignment for Sustainable Facility Management, Managing Sustainable Facilities, and Operating Sustainable Facilities. Students will learn to improve their facilities' sustainability in energy, water, materials and resources, workplace management, indoor environmental quality, quality of services, waste, and site impact.
