Carpet Tiles

InterfaceFLOR's Straightforward range of carpet tiles has been used at EC Harris' London headquarters in the Regent's Quarter development in King's Cross. About 5,000m~2 of slate-coloured carpet tiles, with random stripes in shades of grey, were specified. The entire floor was installed in less than three weeks by flooring contractor Loughton Contracts. Straightforward has a 6mm microtuft construction which, says the company, uses less yarn than traditional carpet tiles, without compromising sound absorption and softness underfoot. The random design also helped with ease andrnspeed of installation and the ability to soften the appearance of soiling. The randomness of the design also means tiles can be selectively replaced if necessary, without any colour incompatibility. The tiles are made from 80% recycled nylon yarn, the manufacturing process uses 100% "green electricity" and the carbon dioxide emissions generated throughout the product's lifecycle are offset.
