Mace JV bags major role on tube modernisation programme

A joint venture between Mace and management consultancy CPC Project Services has won a major support contract for upgrades on the London Underground. The JV will become Transport for London's programme support partner for the upgrade of the District, Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines on the underground. The programme, officially referred to as Four Lines Modernisation (4LM), will renew the current signalling systems and bring in advanced automated train control for the lines, which are estimated to carry 1.3 million passengers each day and account for 40% of the underground network.
