Taylor Wimpey JV scoops 2,400-home MoD scheme

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) has chosen a Taylor Wimpey and Dorchester Regeneration joint venture to redevelop Prince Philip Barracks in Bordon, Hampshire, into a 2,400-home neighbourhood. The joint venture will also build a relief road, community facilities and a town centre. The DIO had already lodged a planning application for the scheme. Gary Silver, head of acquisitions at Dorchester Regeneration, said: "The redevelopment of the Prince Philip Barracks is the perfect example of disused MoD land being put to good use, as the project is of paramount importance to the regeneration of Bordon and the prosperity of the wider region.
