Khan approves Thames crossings

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has approved three new Thames crossings in east London. The mayor has waved through plans for a new Silvertown Tunnel as well as a pedestrian and cycling bridge and a DLR extension over the river. Arguing that the schemes would boost economic growth and support housebuilding, Khan promised to deliver "greener" public crossings.
