Greg Clark: 'Good' outlook for industry

The new business and energy secretary Greg Clark has insisted the outlook for construction is positive post-EU referendum, in an interview with Building days before his move to the new "super" department. Clark was among a number of big ministerial changes affecting construction made in a radical reshuffle by prime minister Theresa May over the weekend and back end of last week (see details, right), Clark's department - which will absorb the axed Department of Energy & Climate Change - will determine policy for construction, apprentices, energy and energy efficiency. It was unclear which of Clark's five junior ministers would oversee these remits as Building went to press.
