The young are meant to be the future Not a great message to be sending to young people who we'd like to be making the construction industry their career choice ("Close to 350 Carillion apprentices given their marching orders in past week", www.building.co.uk). If we're not prepared to prioritise and protect apprentices, you have to worry for the future. Or are we happy to see young people go off to the gig economy and wait for the bots to take over?
