What has been your biggest career challenge? I'm experiencing it at the moment with the impact technology is having on the way we work, our clients and the construction projects. Keeping pace and predicting change is the biggest challenge. If you could change one thing about your area of the industry, what would it be? In dilapidations, it is often surveyors who get the bad rap for claims taking time to settle, but in my experience it is typically aligned to the way the lease has been worded. So if I could change one thing, it would be for surveyors to be involved pre-lease to help parties understand their obligations clearly for a swifter conclusion when the lease ends.
