Influence of Building Integrated Photovoltaic in Facades for the Energetic Evaluation of Buildings Part 2: Operating Performance of Building Integrated Photovoltaic in Facades in the Field �C Free�Field Measurements In the framework of the realization of the Paris Agreement, the Federal Government aims for a nearly climate�eutral building stock by 2050. Apart from the prevention of energy loss, the production and consumption of energy from renewables in the close proximity to the building are immensely important. Photovoltaics (PV) offer a considerable potential by converting a part of solar power into electrical energy. The so far preferred orientation of PV on the surface of roofs does not generate enough energy to cover the primary energy demand of a building. Facades offer a great capacity potential. In part 1 of this contribution constructional, normative and energetic features for energy production on facades with Building Integrated Photovoltaics are described and discussed in the scope of own consumption. In this second part, the operating performance of Building Integrated Photovoltaics on facades is investigated by means of two Free�Field measurements on different locations under a longer period.
