Green building development in China

摘要

Buildings account for 30-40% of energy consumption in China. Currently, over 95% of existing buildings and 80% of new construction remain energy inefficient. As the construction industry accounts for roughly 30% of the total energy consumed in China, regulators have focused on implementation of green and efficient practices in both established and new buildings, making green buildings a centerpiece in China's overall energy plan.
