Nothing is what it seems

摘要

The exhibition Land Architecture People, by the architects Pierre d'Avoine and Andrew Houlton and the critic Clare Melhuish, uses a selection of their built and unbuiltprojects, including collaborative competition entries, to engage us with the complexities of making architecture in terms of their social and physical contexts, themes which are intertwined through land ownership and client influence with their larger collective and geographic scales. The display, a rich collection of material, including large models, maquettes, drawings and writings, is ranged across the huge exhibition space in one of the old Danish naval yard buildings that the Royal Danish Academy architecture school inhabits.
