Labour has weighed into the school-building row, claiming the Tories care more about "sensationalist headlines than the truth". Shadow schools minister Kevin Brennan said that every statement from the Conservatives on BSF (Building Schools for the Future) required fact checking. His comments came as the Tories admitted for the first time that architects were right to make money out of Labour's £55 billion school-building programme, apparently contradicting education secretary Michael Gove's criticism of the profession for "creaming off cash" from BSF.
