Recession is focus of TV's Stirling show

TV coverage of the Stirling Prize will be replaced by a programme looking at how British architects are faring in the wake of the recession. The BBC has commissioned a special edition of the Culture Show fronted by architecture critic Tom Dyckhoff, which will air in the week before the Stirling Prize winner is announced at a ceremony in Manchester. Dyckhoffsaid: "We're taking the opportunity of the Stirling Prize to look at where British architecture is five years into the recession."
