Single-minded on double-aspect

Thank you for a lovely review of an attractive building (Buildings May 11). I notice from the plans that all the ground floor flats are "through" but above that it's back to the sadly familiar. It is a long narrow rectangular building ideally suited to flats that span the width and yet... I see no hope for the elimination of single-aspect flats so long as this type of block design continues to be built, since "deck access" has gained such a bad name by its association with the failed modernist blocks of the concrete council estates.
