A new collection of seven biodegradable wallcoverings from Wolf-Gordon offers durability, washability, breathability, sustainability, and aesthetics-all at an affordable price. The Organics line is composed of three main elements. The topcoat and structural element PLA is the world's first non-chemical plastic-a biodegradable, thermoplastic, aliphatic polyester derived from renewable resources, such as soy, corn, and potatoes, that provides strong fire ratings. The middle layer and core component is Kenaf, a rapid-growth, high-yield grass that uses less chemicals and energy than a comparable wood-based paper product. Finally, the cellulose backing is made from recycled newspapers and magazines gently stripped of their formaldehyde and print inks. All seven designs draw inspiration from the landscape of the Indian countryside, with design patterns that include subtle striations and simulated animal prints.
