For an event focused on AEC career advancement, there sure was a lot of talk at BD+C's Fifth Annual Under 40 Leadership Summit about when getting fired might be the right move. "Be willing to say 'No,'" said Gordon Gill, FAIA, Founding Partner, Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, one of the event's keynote speakers. "If you get fired for doing what's right, get fired. One moment of honesty with a client is worth decades of trust." The three-day conference (October 14-16, in Chicago) drew 98 young AEC executives, including 43 BD+C 40 Under 40 winners (31 from the Class of 2015).
