摘要

With capex and opex budgets shrinking at many of the nation's colleges and universities, school leaders are leaning on fundrais-ing and donations to help keep their institutions on a growth trajectory. Fundraising has become big business in higher education. Most schools have fundraising departments, foundations, or boards, and you'd be hard pressed to find an institution-public or private-that does not have some sort of formal fundraising strategy in place. University presidents are recruited and hired, in part, based on their merit in being able to raise capital for the institution.
