Emeritus Professor Justin Sweet of the University of California, Berkeley is a doyen of construction law scholars in the United States and beyond. In an anthology published by the American Bar Association the author of the foreword paid this tribute to him: To construction lawyers throughout the United States, and around the world, Justin Sweet is an icon. Almost single-handedly, over 50 years ago, he created the discipline of construction law as a subject to be taught in law schools, and he has nurtured and nourished that discipline ever since.
