摘要

Canada has recently joined other common law jurisdictions in enacting laws providing for prompt payment and statutory adjudication in the construction industry. The province of Ontario has pioneered the way. The relevant provisions of the Ontario Construction Act, enacted in 2017, come into effect in October 2019.
