FED waste cleared from Bradwell nuclear site

All of the fuel element debris waste has now been dealt with by Magnox Ltd at the site of the former Bradwell nuclear power station in Essex. The intermediate level radioactive waste, which largely consists of magnesium alloy cladding that surrounds the nuclear fuel, was dissolved in acid and is now ready for storage.
