Steelworks site to become logistics park

Peel Logistics Property has acquired a 48a former steelworks site in Sheffield for £8.5m to build a logistics park. The formerly contaminated site, which was purchased from Outokumpu, has since been cleared to make way for development. Peel intends to submit a planning application for 74,300m~2 of space spread across multiple standalone facilities in the coming months.
