DAVID DAVIES is Associate Professor of Philosophy at McGill University. He is the author of Art as Performance (2004) and Aesthetics and Literature (2007), and editor of The Thin Red Line (2008). He has published on the philosophy of literature, film, photography, the visual arts, music and theatre, as well as on topics in metaphysics, philosophy of language and philosophy of mind. He is currently completing a book on the performing arts.
