Ohe sky was as black as the water below. "Just jump," I told myself. It was midnight, and in the moonlight I could see the silvered coast of the Big Island of Hawaii in the distance. No going back now. I had already struggled into my cold, damp full-body wetsuit. My fins and mask were in place, and I was perched on the gunnel of the boat. "Just jump."
