These latest chairs and sofas from UK manufacturer Modus lack the ooph factor. That's not a criticism, it has modicum of oomph, but no ooph. Ooph is that barely audible noise you make when you reach a certain age - and it's really not that old - and you sit down on a lowish sofa or chair. But April has specifically had the ooph designed out. Created by Kenneth Grange and Jack Smith - a working relationship that Grange is keen to promote as a true partnership - April is primarily aimed at the contract market, but Grange is hopeful that it will have crossover appeal in the domestic arena, and conversations are underway with some large retailers.
