Q&A with e Joint Commission... Paper Records, Patient-Owned Equipment, and New Requirements Take Center Stage

At AAMI's Annual Conference & Expo in San Jose, CA, George Mills of The Joint Commission's Standards Interpretation Group fielded questions from participants about new changes to The Joint Commission's Environment of Care standards and elements of performance (EP), as well as other topics of interest to the audience. The new standards, which are part of The Joint Commission's Standards Improvement Initiative, take effect in January 2009. A sampling of the audience questions and the responses from Mills follows.
