The facility, which would be funded by a multinational Japanese energy corporation, has caught the attention of Japan's Miss Earth 2011, who is now helping to campaign against land grabbing, environmental impacts and unfair labour practices. Diony Yadao, peasant leader in Isabela, toured Japan on 18-20 January in protest of the bioethanol plant and land grabbing in the Filipino region.
