Even amidst the talk of doom and gloom in tough economic times, the World of Asphalt, co-located with the inaugural Agg1 show, kept an upbeat vibe and had constant traffic on the show floor. rnAccording to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), the show's producers, the Orlando, Fla., show had record attendance. There were more than 5,500 people registered for the show and more than 5,700 people purchased tickets for education sessions - a big jump from the 3,650 people at the last W0A in 2007. There were more than 400 exhibitors. Attendees came from 60 different countries, with 16 percent of them coming from outside the United States. The show covered 85,900 net square feet.
