摘要

This study focuses on an academic library's opportunity to partner with online booksellers to sell some of the library's deselected monographs with less effort and time than if it organized the sales by itself. I provide a comparative overview of six established book dealers (Better World Books, B-Logistics, BookJingle, Book Prospector, Thrift Books, and Zubal Books), whose services I tested by offering them a sample of weeded titles. A summary of each bookseller's response is presented, including the company's description, its scope of materials accepted, type of sale, shipping process, distribution of profit, and manner of disposing of unsold titles.
