What did you get on your last birthday? Aston Martin gave itself this, the CC100. To be fair, it is the company's centenary, and if you'd had the 100 years Aston has had - at one point schoolboys were donating pocket money to stave off one of its multiple bankruptcies - you'd probably want to pop a few balloons. But the CC100 is way more than a piece of self-congratulation. This rakish speedster is a fully functioning runner, packs a 565bhp V12, weighs just over 1,300kg, and offers a number of clues about where Aston sees itself heading. Specifically, the grille, side strakes and rear-end treatment are all worth close scrutiny, mainly because each is an integrated element of the car's design, rather than being a decorative item that is effectively stuck on afterwards.
