Recover, recycle and reclaim - that's the company motto at REC, the Danish makers whose designs all contain fragments of salvaged cars (and as of this month, legendary warplanes too - see p21). Their scrapheap hauls have so far included vintage Minis, Mustangs and Porsche 911s, though none have been quite as unique as their latest parts donor: an original 1973 Carrera 2.7 RS. The 2.7 RS was, as if you needed reminding, the driver's Porsche to end them all, and the very first of Porsche's RS models, as famous for its fat-free engineering as its ducktail spoiler.
