Q What lessons have been learned from the credit crisis?rnA A number of interesting trends emerged during the heart of credit crisis that were not directly related to risk management. The first was the need to manage surges of transactions, for instance when there were periods of default and our credit risk systems had to manage unprecedented numbers of credit events in a very short period of time. Although in total, the volume of transactions reduced, a lot of systems broke down because they were not able to manage these kinds of surges.
