In the first three quarters of 2013, ICBC generated a net profit of rmb2O5,77im, representing an increase of 10.8% over the same period of the previous year. Annualised return on assets and return on equity were 1.51% and 23% respectively, the cost-to-income ratio was 26.08%. Both core tier-one capital adequacy ratio and Tier 1 capital adequacy ratio were 10.59% and capital adequacy ratio was 13.17%. As at the end of the first half of 2013, ICBC topped the global financial industry ranking in terms of indicators such as deposits, loans, total assets, Tier 1 capital, market capitalisation and profit.
