'PRISCO Ekaterina' - The second ice-classed tanker delivered by STX Korea to Russia's PRISCO

The new tankers 'PRISCO Alexandra' and 'PRISCO Ekaterina', both delivered at the end of 2008, became the first vessels in the world with the comprehensive new Lloyd's Register "winterisation" ice-class notation.rnThe vessels were built for Russia's PRISCO Group by STX Shipbuilding, Korea with 'PRISCO Alexandra' delivered on November 27, 2008 and 'PRISCO Ekaterina' delivered on December 31, 2008.rnThe vessels are the first and second of seven 51,000DWT product tanker sister-vessels to be built by STX for PRISCO, the Primorsk Shipping Corporation.rnThe vessels were built to a new winterisation notation that dramatically extends the coverage of current standards beyond basic hull structures to include the products and equipment that are essential for safe and reliable operations in frigid temperatures.rn'PRISCO Ekaterina' has an overall length of 183 metres on a 32.2-metre beam, with a depth of 19.1 metres and a draught of 13.15 metres.
