'Watercat 1500'

As Marine Alutech celebrated its twentieth anniversary, the Finnish workboat builder on September 14 completed a successful self-righting test of the latest model of its Watercat 1500 patrol boat at the company facility in Teijo, south-west Finland. The Watercat 1500 is the first of a two-vessel series being built in a co-operation project with Baltic Workboats of Estonia, for Delta-Pilots of Ukraine. The new patrol boat is based on a Marine Alutech design that Baltic Workboats previously used for Azerbaijan Customs in 2010. The design concept and equipment have been chosen to meet the challenging requirements of Delta-Pilots, performing sea rescue and emergency transport operations in the Black Sea and its surrounding rivers.
