Established in Miri in 1977, Piasau Slipways is a busy and successful Malaysian shipbuilding and repair yard. Operating as a subsidiary of the Shin Yang Shipping Corporation, Piasau manufactures a diverse range of tugs, barges, landing craft and cargo ships. A recent delivery from the yard is the 46-metre landing craft 'Dayang Cempaka'. Built for local owner DESB Marine Services, the new craft will be home-ported in the Port of Kuching in western Borneo.
