Dutch shipping company AVRA Towage has received delivery of the twin screw tug 'Southwind' from Malaysian shipbuilder Vitawani Shipbuilding. Delivered at the beginning of June, the new tug followed close on the heels of her sistership, 'Northwind', which entered service with AVRA at the end of 2010. The tug, which measures 31.1 metres in overall length on a 9.5 metre beam, has been designed for medium and long range endurance towing operations as well as support duties.
