Joint venture launches new emergency locator range

Marine electronics firm Simrad and marine safety specialist Jotron have launched a new range of emergency position indicating radio beacons (EPIRBs) and search and rescue transponders (SARTs). One key feature of the new SART and EPIRB models, which have compliance to IMO, SOLAS and GMDSS regulations as well as approval from the MED and FCC, is the use of a non-hazardous IATA-compliant battery pack that enables restriction-free transportation.
