Tognum opens new Materials Management Centre in Germany

German engine components manufacturer Tognum has opened a new Materials Management Centre (MMC) in Friedrichshafen, near Lake Constance, Germany, under its subsidiary MTU Friedrichshafen. Tognum and its new partner Stute Logistics (a Kuehne + Nagel subsidiary) together invested around 50 million euros (USD61.5 million) in the state-of-the-art MMC. Stute Logistics will be responsible for the centre's operations.
